Streets of Tokyo with the Fuji x100s and iPhone 6 Plus
This is the follow up to my Tokyo Street post from a few weeks ago. Street photography is rapidly growing in popularity all over the world. While it's not a new genre of photography by any means, it's possibly the most accessible. Nothing records the gesture of the streets like street photography can. Small seemingly insignificant moments around us can be fascinating when viewed after the fact. While sometimes interacting with people by letting them know you are photographing them works well, other times shooting without their knowledge works even better. The moment someone knows they are being photographed their demeanor changes, as does the moment. Maybe the change they give you is better, maybe not, but it's never what you saw that attracted you to the scene to begin with.
Oh how I love hats and people looking at their phones. Not sure why really. Neither is new, or particularly exciting. One is fashion, and the other social habits, yet wear a hat or look at your phone in public, and I am a moth to the flame.
I don't think she got the memo.π
