Good morning everyone. I hope your Saturday is starting off great. I'm still working through the mountain of photos from mine and my daughter's Tokyo trip last weekend, and I'll be posting more of those photos soon. In the meantime here's some photo app news.
If you've been anxiously waiting for the new OS X Photos, the much slicker, speedier iPhoto and Aperture replacement, then your in luck. Apple has a public beta available for those so inclined. Note: Please make sure you have your Mac, and all your photos especially backed up somewhere safe before installing and using beta software.. I use Apple's Time Capsule with the built-in Time Machine on my MacBook Pro and I love it. OS X Photos is essentially the Mac version of the Photos app on your iPhone, the one that comes with OS7 and 8. It's free, cleaner, and faster than the apps it replaces. If you not into using beta software the final version is schedule for a spring release.
