Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone from Okinawa, Japan. 2016 is going to be a great year, and I have big plans and goals for ShootLighter.com. First and foremost I'm going to shift my focus on ShootLighter.com to mainly mobile photography and video. I still love my Fuji x-series cameras, but in the past couple years I have found myself using my iPhone more and more for photography other than day to day snapshots. The potential in mobile photography is off the charts, and I love the challenge of creating amazing photos and videos with something that fits in my pocket.

Second, I will be relaunching my YouTube channel with news, reviews and tips on iPhone related photography. Be sure to subscribe and learn how to take better photos and videos with this amazing camera that's with you all the time. In addition I will also cover iOS related post production workflow with an iPhone or iPad.

While I'm not suggesting you get rid of your larger more capable cameras (yet), I do feel that with the release last year of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus that Apple has reached a tipping point in the capabilities and possibilities of iPhone photography, or iPhoneography as it's now known as in many circles.

There are of course many other great smartphone cameras beside the iPhone, but since that's what I use and what I know it's going to be my main focus for ShootLighter.com. Besides, anyone who knows me and how much I love Apple products would expect nothing less. :)

So here's to a fantastic 2016 filled with many amazing iPhone photos and the priceless memories they represent.
