Today's photo was taken with my iPhone 6s Plus while walking around in one of my favorite areas in Okinawa, Omoromachi, or Shintoshin as most refer to it.
Photo of the Day - Cape Maeda
This is a shot I took with my Fuji x100T a few months ago. It was one of those perfect Okinawa days.
Photo of the Day - Summer Kimonos
Kimonos are one of those parts of Japan that I love. Unfortunately, these days you don't see them as much. However, in the summer Japanese women, and men break out their Yukatas, a lighter, cooler version of the kimono worn during the warmer summer months. I took this photo below at a local festival in Okinawa City. The sun had just set and it was almost dark outside, making this one of those situations where I was glad I had my Fuji 56mm (85mm equivalent) f/1.2 lens on my XPro1. Being able to shoot this at f/2.0 allowed me to get enough light to make the shot.

Okinawa Life via Narrative Clip
Friday I decided, completely unplanned, to drive north and hike up to Hiji Falls in Kunigami prefecture. If you know me, you know that hiking is not my thing, but it was a beautiful day here in Okinawa and beautiful weather makes me happy enough to go hiking apparently. So, me and my happy self jumped in the car and drove north, stopping along the way at Nago Beach. I was expecting rougher waters with a typhoon rolling in, but the beach was really nice.
