Nightfall in Chatan
We finally got some decent weather yesterday after a week of rain, clouds and cold. I decided to head over to Chatan and walk around with my iPhone 6 and my Fuji x100s. Just for a change I've had the TCLx100 on for a couple weeks now. I love the 35 equivalent I get from my x100s, but sometimes it's just nice to shoot with a 50mm focal length. I never grow tired of how even the most mundane can look interesting in late afternoon light. I shot the next two images from my car. I see so many photos from my car, but usually can't stop or get to my camera in time.
Walking in Roppongi
Good morning everyone and Happy Friday. Here's a shot I grabbed while walking to the subway in Tokyo. I have many, many more to post so check back often.
Breakfast at Hale Noa Cafe
This weekend my family and I tried the new Hale Noa Cafe in Chatan. The cafe is located near the entrance to Araha Beach, and next door to the Okinawan chain restaurant Chirugwa. My wife had driven by a couple days earlier, noticed Salted Caramel French Toast on their weekly special board outside, and we had to try it out. I'm so glad we did too as it turned out to be a great little breakfast spot, something that is in short supply here in Okinawa.

Good morning everyone. I hope your Saturday is starting off great. I'm still working through the mountain of photos from mine and my daughter's Tokyo trip last weekend, and will be posting more of those photos soon. In the meantime here's some photo app news.

Rainy Day in Tokyo
Not the best of weather on day 2 in Tokyo. Rain, wind, and cold, but when Mother Nature gives you lemons...
Tokyo Street with the iPhone 6 Plus Day 1
We arrived in Tokyo yesterday afternoon, dropped off our stuff at the hotel, and took the train to Shibuya. My daughter wanted to shop at H&M, so while she shopped I shot some street. Coming from small town Okinawa Tokyo, especially Shibuya, is nirvana for street photography, as most big cities are I'm sure. I had my Fuji x100s around my neck, but I've really been wanting to put the iPhone 6 Plus to the test and shoot street with it. At first the light wasn't all that great, but then as we were heading back to Shibuya station the late afternoon sunlight started beaming between the buildings, and suddenly I started seeing photos everywhere.
