As I prepare to post my review, I thought I would share a couple photos. I love how my original TCL-x100 Teleconverter looks on my new x100F. I had originally purchased it with my black x100S, but I think I actually like this look better. I’ve now owned every x100 and the love affair just keeps growing with this camera.
This past July my daughter and I decided on a whim to take a trip to Tokyo for a few days. She was out of school for the summer and it was perfect for some quality father daughter time. It’s been two years since our last trip. Scary how fast time goes by. On my last trip to Tokyo I had just bought the x100T and was testing it out.

Street photography touches my love of photography like no other genre. It's difficult to explain why. Maybe it's the historical relevance of recording society, although I've never been a big history buff. Maybe it's the rawness or reality of the moment, or maybe it's just the voyeur in me, like all humans that are fascinated with observing others and their environment.
This is the follow up to my Tokyo Street post from a few weeks ago. Street photography is rapidly growing in popularity all over the world. While it's not a new genre of photography by any means, it's possibly the most accessible. Nothing records the gesture of the streets like street photography can. Small seemingly insignificant moments around us can be fascinating when viewed after the fact.
There are three basic angles when shooting food: Top Down, Three Quarter, and Table/Plate level, at least this is what I call them. Of course regardless of which angle you choose, lighting is key, and don't forget about the background. Cluttered or noisy backgrounds can ruin an otherwise great photo. Below are a few things to remember next time you're photographing food. The images below were shot with a variety of cameras to include my Fuji x100, x100s, X-Pro1, and my iPhone 6 Plus.

All but seven have at least one Fuji camera in their list. Ken Rockwell's top three includes two Fuji x-series and an iPhone 6 Plus. Interesting read. Recently I took an early morning walk around the neighborhood of Miyazato in Okinawa City with my Fuji X-Pro1. The quiet this time of day was therapeutic, interrupted only occasionally by the sounds of traffic from nearby highway 330, and reminded me how enjoyable it can be to shoot early in the day.
